Understanding Your 1099 Tax Form (U.S. Providers)

Who is this for?

This article is for U.S.-based providers (Blys Pros) who want to understand when they will receive a Form 1099 and how to access their earnings information. As Blys partners with Stripe to process payments.If you qualify for a 1099, Stripe will issue the form on behalf of Blys.

When Will I Receive a 1099 Form?

 Form 1099 is issued only if your total payments exceed $600 USD within a calendar tax year (January 1 – December 31). 

• If your earnings meet or exceed $600, you will automatically receive a 1099 form.

• If your earnings are below $600, a 1099 form will not be issued.

This threshold is set by U.S. tax regulations and applies across platforms.

When Will I Receive It?

Eligible providers will receive their 1099:

• After December 31 of the relevant tax year

• Before January 31 of the following year

You can also download your 1099 Tax form via your Blys Pro App, to do so 

• Go to Reports the Overview and scroll down 
• You will find Reporting section, where if you are eligible you can directly download the Tax Form from the drop down box.
• You can also select the year for the reports to be generated

What If I Earned Less Than $600?

If your total payments for the year are under $600:

• A 1099 will not be generated.

• You are still responsible for tracking and reporting your income as required by law.

• You can access your earnings summary anytime through the Blys Pro app.

How can I get a summary of my earnings?

You can download a summary of your earnings directly from the Blys Pro app.

To access your earnings summary:

1. Open the Blys Pro app

2. Go to Menu / Earnings

3. Select the relevant date range or tax year

4. Download or export your earnings report for your records

Important Notes

• The $600 threshold applies to total annual payouts, not individual bookings.

• You do not need to request a 1099 — it is automatically issued if you qualify.

• If you do not receive a 1099, it means your earnings did not meet the reporting threshold.

• Blys cannot manually generate a 1099 outside of Stripe’s automated process.
